Anybody use an overhead projector to make a mural?

I am planning on doing a playroom for DS in a spare room. It's a jungle theme so I wanted to do a nice "jungle" with banana trees on the wall. I want to use an overhead projector. I am SO NOT artistic when it comes to drawing. I can't hire a muralist. Too $$$

If you used one, did you rent one? I don't want to buy one. I will have no use for it later on.

One of my friends did - she is a teacher so she just borrowed one from school. If you have any teacher friends, maybe you could ask to borrow one.

I'm thinking about a jungle theme in our playroom too - can't wait to see pics!

You might be able to borrow one from the library.

I have never used it to paint a mural but I am a class advisor and we have to make a banner every year for homecoming and we use an overhead.
It is annoying though to use because sometimes it moves a fraction of an inch and then everything is off!

When I taught pre-school I borrowed one from the library to copy pictures out of books for projects, etc. Call your library and see if that have one.

I've done it before, my mom's friend had a projector that she borrowed. It was pretty easy. I traced everything with a thick pencil & went behind & painted (I found it easier that way b/c you're constantly dealing with your shadow on the wall).
