Anybody work PT at night or a FT night job?
I know I am writing this at night but wondering if anyone works at night? I would really like to be home with the kids during the day but need the money.
Thanks!

i just wanted to add... even though you are home with them you do need your sleep so you still have to have some form of child care. i neglected myself many times and stayed awake sometimes 36 hours at a time. it's just not healthy and you definitly don't feel well doing it. just go into it with that in mind!

I work 2-10pm 2 nights a week. I'm a pharamcist. My mom watches her until DH gets home. I works out well for us.

This is what I do now. I plan on mostly working weekends and arranging some kind of childcare in the mornings after I work.

I would love a PT night job. The only places I can think of that you don't need a certain degree is at hotels or 24 hour supermarkets.

I work 5-9 2x a week, Fridays 10-6 and everyother Sat & Sun. I'm a children's librarian.
Libraries are good for PT evening clerical work. I know West Babylon is looking for a PT clerk (I don't work there but I've seen advertisments for the position).

I am also a nurse and I work evenings 8pm-8am (part time which is 2 nights a week). I enjoy nights since I am home during the day but I don't have a sitter in the mornings after I work so I only get to nap when Jenna goes for a nap and go right to bed when DH gets home at 7 or 8pm. The extra income is good so I don't mind the 2 nights.

I just accepted a PT job on weekends only. It is a banquet facilty that is only opened Fri-Sat-Sun. Making almost 20 bucks an hour. I was so excited, I am a stay at home mom so this is perfect to help out with the finances and gets me out of the house for a few hours on the weekends.

Re: Anybody work PT at night or a FT night job?
With my first, I did for a year. I worked two nights a week for 10 hours. It worked well for us because DH watched her while I worked and learned how to take responsibility. Now, I can't because he has a business and can't say he's going to be home at such and such time.

Re: Anybody work PT at night or a FT night job?
Thanks everyone!
I sooooo want to quit my job and work pt at night but I don't know if we can really cut financially. My dh just found out our medical would be free (my main concern) but then I would have to save for retirement on my own.
Ugghhh-I hate this!!
