I watched them. I was so unimpressed with Katherine Heigel. (I was rooting for Sandra Oh, but anyway.) I thought she was just classless, cursing on camera when they called her name, correcting the announcer when she mispronounced her name, slamming her mom in her speech and worst of all was the big pout on her face when the Sopranos won.

In other reactions, I thought the sequence with Bill Maher and the toe tapping in the men's room was hilarious!!!

Me too!!! Everyone always says how cute and adorable Katherine Heigl is and I find her obnoxious for some reason. And I know her last name was pronounced wrong, but correcting the announcer was unnecesarry. She should have just let it go.

ITA with you! She seems very full of herself to me.

Re: Anyeone actually watching Emmys?

I thought the Emmys were great last night.

The only thing I thought was odd was that since it was "in the round", everyone who went up on the stage had their backs to a large portion of the audience. It seemed kind of awkward.

Yeah I didn't like the stage setup.

And when they cut to the ceiling, was that their way of "bleeping" people?

I loved the Kanye West bit with the lyrics. That was great.

I disagree. She was nominated for an Emmy; they should know how to pronounce her name. I also think that if a man had corrected the announcer, everyone would have thought it was funny. But since a woman did it, it comes off as bitchy. She also dedicated the award to her mom, so I don't think she really 'slammed' her.

I agree. She has a very dry wit, which can come off wrong sometimes, but I think she was sincere.

I would have corrected the announcer too. They wouldn't say Gandolfini incorrectly.

According to Entertainment Weekly she said:

''And let's face it, if the mothers ruled the world, there would be no goddamn wars in the first place''

I hate these shows. The Office should have won every emmy. I'm bitter. Chat Icon

Catherine the Great was a mother and so were many other queens and princesses who waged wars.
