Anyone a Daisy/Girl Scout Leader?
The troop at Ava's new school won't take anymore girls. It is 2 Mom's with 9 girls.
Her old troop had 25, and took any new girls that wanted to join. She really misses it, so I think that I will have to step up and start a new troop.
I'm scared!!!!! Any advice?

Re: Anyone a Daisy/Girl Scout Leader?
I'm going through the process now for Daisies. DD is in a troop of about 30 girls and there are 14 more on a waiting list, so I volunteered to become a troop leader and move DD to the new troop with me.
My application and background check were approved and my references were sent forms to fill out and send back last week. I have to complete 3 or 4 training sessions online and then there is one that has to be done at the council office.
This week I'm getting together with my co-leaders (there are 3 of us) to decide which day we want to have meetings, how often per month to meet, how we want to split up responsibilities, etc.
I'm a little nervous but I figure Girl Scouts has a pretty strong support group and hopefully the leaders of the other troop in the school will be open to answering any questions we might have since they have been leaders for many years now.
Good luck!
