Anyone a part of their local mothers club?

I'm not since i work and don't really have an interest to. Was wondering if anyone on these boards is. My SIL is very involved in hers in NJ (She is a SAHM) and loves it. Most of her friends are from the mothers club now.

If you are a member what exactly do you do and how much time is involved??

I am. They have meetings at night and a ot of activites on the weekends.

I'm part of a made up club...the Chorlton Bad Mothers Club. We all live in Chorlton and we are bad mothers

But seriously, we are a group of about 25 girls all with babies born between September 05 - February 06 who met at Baby Massage, then at Babygroups in our local area (most of them held at local churches) We have set up a babysitting cooperative, we do lots of coffee mornings and in the summer, we sat in the park gossiping a lot.

Meeting them was such a godsend! I suggest calling some local churches and asking them if they have baby/playgroups, or I know the starbucks at my local mall has one also.

I am. It is called MidCountyMoms. (St Louis County)
I love them. They have playgroups every Tuesday and Fridays. It is held at parks during nice weather and someone house during the winter.
They also have Mom's Night Out and Couples Night Out once a month and plenty of activities in between. They also have a monthly diet challenge to help everybody stay in shape.
The group allows you to be as involved or as uninvolved as you want to be. It is a great support network.

They have all sorts of moms' groups in all areas. In fact, I still work, but I just joined one in my area for when I'm a SAHM in the spring. It appears this particular group holds events on Wednesdays and Fridays.
