Anyone afraid of driving over bridges?
There are only two bridges I really hate to drive over - the Goethals, because it seems so narrow, especially with all the tractor trailers in the right lane. And a bridge in Connecticut on I-95 right where you get on/off for the New London ferry.
I'm going to a Halloween party later and have to drive over the Robert Moses Causeway bridge. With the wind the way it is, that's sure to be quite fun.

I have this fear. I have to go over gwb later this week and get myself so scared. robert moses scares me too and i have drive over that bridge in two weeks.

Not really a fear, but I don't like it, I also don't like going in tunnels. That Robert Moses bridge definitely freaks me out too.

I only fear driving over bridges during the day. I feel I do not want to see where I may tumble into if I am to be in an accident. I know that's sick. It does not stop me from using them though. I always travel in the middle or inside lanes on bridges. Night time is never an issue.

I always loved driving over the Robert Moses bridge when there were storms!!! 
I was never afraid to go over bridges until 9/11. I wouldn't say I'm afraid, but I'm much more "aware" I'm on a bridge during rush hour and quitting time in metro areas.

I always hated bridges as a kid - i used to close my eyes - now as the driver thats a little difficult but i still hate them

Yes, I have a fear as well. Thankfully, there aren't any that I have to go over in GA now.

I particularly don't like that bridge. Just take it slow with all this wind. Ad be careful of the idiots doing 70 - it is narrow enough without them!

During the summer, I cross that bridge at least once a week, and never really had a problem even in rainy, windy conditions.
But last night. Wow. When we started the approach, going north, I could feel the wind but it wasn't that bad. I thought, this isn't so bad. I can handle it.
The waves were pretty high there and the wind started spraying the water onto the windshield of the car. The wind got progressively worse going up the span, over and down the other side. The worst of it was closest to the shore; I had a death grip on the steering wheel and still, I could barely keep the car in my lane.
Everyone behind me switched into the middle lane and we all put our hazards on because we had to take it so slow.
I couldn't do it again on the way home - especially since the southbound side has only 2 lanes. We took Southern State instead of Ocean Parkway. I've never been on that bridge when it's so bad like that.

Not bridges... but I'm terrified of driving through the Lincoln or Midtown Tunnel. I get very anxious, and if there's traffic, I break out in a cold sweat.
