Anyone been to Jamaica?
Any hotels (all-inclusive) or areas you loved? We are thinking of changing our trip from Cozumel to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Any other ideas in Jamaica? Thanks!

I've never been but a coule of girlfriends went two years back. They didn't like it much. They really could not leave the hotel (it was either sandals or beaches or something like that). So they had to stay in the resort the whole weekend. When they came home they said they wished they had gone to another island.
I have been to Aruba, Bahamas and Cayman. I loved all of them.

We stayed in Montego Bay in April and LOVED it. We stayed at an all inclusive, Wyndham Rose Hall...it was beautiful. There was lots to do there as well....heres a link

We stayed at Sandals Dunn's River and we really liked it a lot. Jamacia isn't my favorite Caribbean Island but it was beautiful and the weather was great. This was DH's first trip to the Caribbean and he loved it! My favorite island(s) has been Turks and Caicos. The beaches are fabulous!

I felt very safe. We didn't have too much need to leave the resort since it was all-inclusive, but we walked to Margaritaville, about a mile down the beach, and were not bothered. People would try to sell you jewelry or do your hair, but if you said no would not bother you. We went on a shopping excursion to a local market, and no one hasseled us. You barter for stuff, but that's the same in a lot of other countries. It was absolutely beautiful and I would LOVE to go back next year! Here are some pictures:

we went to Jamaica few years ago, we stayed at the Grand Lido San Souci (I think it is called Couples San Souci now)... we went with another couple and had a blast... the resort has two beaches (one nude  although usually you only saw older people there  )the food was great at the hotel and the people are just awesome... we went to Jamaica at the end of May so we got some rain for 3 days which kinda stinks but oh well, we made the best of it, swam in the pool in the rain which was pretty fun  if you in Ocho Rios cant miss Dunn's River Falls, you have to climb it

I went in 98 and stayed at the Jamaica Grand Renaissance all inclusive, its in Ochios Rios, we had a blast, and it is beautiful there- Ive been to aruba and A LOT if not most of the carribean islands and I have to say Jamaica allthough very scary to leave the resort area at night was the most lush, tropical and had the best snorkeling- the most colorful fish I have ever seen.
DH has never been there, so I would go back with him, BUT IMO if you do it once its DEF worth it, but not worth a second trip b/c of the safety issues they have there.
Doing the Dunns Rivers Fall was an adventure and a blast!!!! we went fishing, wow bringing back memories, it was fun.

I stopped in Ocho Rios on a cruise, so I have no hotel recomendations. Sorry!
You do need to climb the Dunns River falls if you go, but be careful they are slippery!
