Anyone buy a foreclosure?
We're going to look at a grossly underpriced home tomorrow that is in foreclosure.
What should we expect if we decide we want to put an offer? Does it work the same way?
I know how short sales work, is a foreclosure basically the same thing?
I plan on asking my REA all the details tomorrow, but just wanted to see if anyone had experience with foreclosures.

How did you find a list of foreclosures?
I have head that foreclosures take longer to close.

We found a development we like and my REA has a website that we can look up homes by the development name. I found this one and my REA called their REA and he was told it was a foreclosure... it was not listed as one though.

DH's entire fam is here. My best friend moved down 3 years ago also so we're 15 mins away from eachother now.

DH's entire fam is here. My best friend moved down 3 years ago also so we're 15 mins away from eachother now.

Is it bank owned or the seller is in foreclosure? If the seller is in foreclosure, the procedure is the same as if it wasn't in foreclosure. The seller's loan will be paid off at closing and the LIS Pendens will be removed. If the bank owns it, I'm not sure how that works since I haven't dealt with that.

They are in foreclosure (as per their REA), but it doesn't say that on the listing.
I'll find out the details tonight... we're going to see it!

I know 2 of my friends parents homes went into forclosure just recently
They are homes that are worth at least 700k each...all that money gone
