Anyone buy a winter coat in a larger size instead of a maternity coat?
I usually wear a size S. I'm considering buying a size L or XL instead of a normal coat vs a maternity coat.

I'm caving and doing the same thing. Heading to Burlington Coat Factory this weekend. I think I'll have better luck with a Large (regular coat).

I think the maternity coats are better fitted to a pregnant body. A larger coat may just make you look larger, not necessarily pregnant. After the baby you won't be able to wear the larger size coat anyway, unless your not anticipating weight loss. Might as well find a nice fitting maternity coat. JMO

That's what I'm doing! I went to an Ann Taylor outlet store last year around May, and they had this gooorgeous winter coat on sale for $20 (originally over $200!). It was a size larger than what I normally wear, but I decided I could get it tailored. Glad I didn't tailor it yet because it's working out great now!

My mom lost a ton of weight, so I'm going to see if she wants to switch coats (I had originally bought hers for me, but it was too big on me, and the coat she bought for her was too small for her so we traded last year)
