Anyone care to guess what my car damage will cost?
I dinged the side of my minivan into a pole in a parking lot about a month ago 
The autobody shop has it today and we are waiting to hear how much.
DH didn't think it was worth putting through insurance.
So scratch and dent in door of minivan. Door still moves fine. I think it's just cosmetic. Maybe a few feet long.
Guesses??

it may depend if they have to paint the whole door or if it can be buffed out..
someone keyed my rear door as well as where the gas tank was (not a mini van though was a bmw) and the the trunk so they were pretty deep.
it was thru someone my brother was friends with. cost me 300 - my brother told me i got a deal - who knows

If all of the damage is just on one door panel, I wouldn't think the $$ should be too bad. A couple of hundred bucks maybe.

There are yellow stripes on the door from the pole. My son said it looks pretty

If it's on the door AND the body it's probably going to cost you more than a couple hundred b/c of the two spots... FORGET IT if they have different colors (luckily *those* style cars went out in the 90s...)
I've dinged enough people to know the cost of these things..
A little dent to the front bumper, broken light AND side of a car, was almost 2000.00 b/c of the 3 different spots...

that's more than a few hundred. Sorry.
Wait until you get the estimate.
I had $700 of repairs and was less damage than that.
