My hairdresser uses semi-perm on me. I never have an issue with it fading or washing out. My issue is roots growing in. My hair grows very fast and I start seeing them at like 3 weeks. But I hold off till about 6 weeks.

Mine usually fades really quick (3-4 weeks)
(eta... I also cannot go a day without washing my hair so that might be a reason why too)

I just started doing a demi perm myself (I mix a shade from a loreal line I get at the beauty supply store). I really like the color(and being able to play around with the shades!  and even though it's non-perm, I feel like I can do it more often and it doesn't dry out my hair at all. (I couldn't wait 6 weeks to do a touch up though. After 3 weeks my gray roots really pop out  )

i get a product called shades done. it's got none of the chemicals that reg color has whatever they are

It lasts me about 5 weeks or so. I haven't done it in awhile. it depends on the type of shampoo you use and how often you wash your hair. I don't get oily, my hair/skin are on the dry side so I don't wash every single day
