Anyone DC ever get this? Big toe is red and bruised looking from using the jumperoo
I had DD in the jumperoo the other day and dummy me didn't have socks on her, and we have hardwood floors. I didn't realize until after the fact, and it seems she bruised her big toe.
It doesn't look infected and it doesn't seem to hurt her, no black and blues either. Looks like more of a rug burn type of thing....her second toe has it too.
Anyone's DC ever have this and did you do anything for it? How long did it take to go away?
I haven't called the dr, I can't see what they can really do for it. I have been putting Aquaphor on it,that's about all I can think of along with soaking it.

I guess if it doesn't seem infected and isn't bothering her, I'd just watch it.
I ended up buying a small bathroom rug and putting it under his jumperoo, to soften the jumping. They already have the anti-slip backing.

We realized she actually had her toe turned down. She is a little too short still, that could be why she is trying to tippy toe.
Needless to say, no more boucny for a while and next time I will put socks on and a rug underneath.
I just left the ped a message, I hate to bring her in if this is common and they can easily tell me over the phone what to do or if anything can be done.

I have one and just thought of this, next time for sure i will do it but I am going to let the toe heal first.
Thanks!

Aaaaaaaaaaaawwww poor baby. I am sure she is fine! Babies in the jumperoo seem to turn their little feet in, pushing off from the big toe (or at least mine did). Its bruised from the constant banging of the up and down that she was doing (and probably having lots of fun doing). You may want to put a soft folded towel under her feet next time and a pair of little socks. She;; be just fine!! Just give the little toe lots of sweet little kisses!!!!

AWWWW - hope she is feeling better
I always had DS wear socks in the jumperoo b/c we have hard wood floors and he was a VERY agressive jumper! I also didn't start putting him in it until about 6.5 months. HTH!

LOL, yeah DS is a jumperoo junkie and he jumps on his toes. He had a blister on the TOP of his big toe and yesterday I noticed part of his big toenail had broken off a little low and had bled a little bit It hasn't bothered him a bit though and he still goes in the jumperoo. Ours is on the rug.

yes this had happened to my dd, I just made sure to put socks or shoes on her, I just let it heal on its own, she had a small blood blister. it went away no biggie. it was scary to look at though.
