Anyone do IPL?

I've had it done for rejuvination. Other than a little uncomfortable in certain areas where i had some fine hair, it was fine.

Re: Anyone do IPL?

i do.

for sun damage. severe freckles, and some pigmentation- melasma.

it works very well, and more than one session is most likely needed.

Also depends where you go/get done.

I used one place and saw results immediately.

I used another salon, bought a package and so far its done nothing but waste my $.

Does your face feel dry after at all? I did a microdermabrasion first and then just spot treatment IPL and my face was oily and now very dry. It is very tight feeling. Chat Icon

Re: Anyone do IPL?

I never felt dry.

what its doing is removing discoloration off the face with a light that zaps. it turns dark and the skin regrowth is underneath and the dark patches flake off.

Re: Anyone do IPL?

I tried it for hair and saw very little difference. I have to make appointments to finish my package but, I am unmotivated.

IPL is not for hair.

Lasering is.

IPL is different.

Really, is there an IPL laser for hair. I am pretty sure she called it IPL. Maybe that is why it isn't working. Chat Icon Chat Icon

ETA: I knew I was using IPL for hair. I just looked it up. It is used for hair and skin.

Yes, IPL is used for hair removal, but many lasers are also used for hair removal, as well.

Re: Anyone do IPL?

I think the confusion is because there now seems to be an IPL for spot removal and a different IPL for hair removal and then other laser hair removal that is not IPL.
