Anyone do Nutrisystem?

I have a friend who wants to sign up for one month of nutrisystem. She asked me if I knew how it was and I haven't known anyone that does it.

Anyone on here do it? How is the food? Are you losing weight?

I did and hated it!!!!!! I still have tons of food.

my dad's girlfriend did it and lost a lot of weight. But, some of the food (so I'm told) is gross and its expensive.

My BF did it and lost 20 pounds!

She did say that the food was nasty and made her gassy, but she looks fantastic and has kept the weight off!

We tried it and I hated the food. I was throwing more food out then I was eating.

My mom tried it and also said the food was disgusting.

She actually had to throw so much of it way.......such a waste.

Shes on Jenny Craig which is really working for her and the food is much better.

My doctor siad his wife tried it and didn't last long. The one thing she took away from it was learning portion control.

You could do your own "nutrisystem" you could buy a lean cuisine or smnart ones for lunch and dinner every night and Special K for breakfast, and planned snacks.

There's no magic to Nutri System, it's just portion control.

I am almost finished selling off all of our food. I have lunches left on ebay - I just sold off all of the desserts

Thanks for all your replies. I actually went to the Nutrisystem website and I looked up the Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and I calculated the hightest calorie and fat intake per day.

The hightest combination of foods give you a total of 850 calories and 30 fat grams per day. That seems a little low to me.

I think you add some stuff to the menu...fruits and veggies, salad, whole wheat rolls, yogurt, etc...

Yes you have to add to the plan - fruits veggies, salad etc....

If you are going to order it, fm me and I will help you to stay away from the unedible foods....There are a lot of them

I was on it, loved it but then got pregnant and going to go back on it very soon. I heard there are new foods on it too.

I was considering trying this after the baby is born. My mother is doing it and says the food isn't bad and she leads a busy lifestyle and doesn't have time to cook so she likes it. She averages about 1 1/2 lb. a week.

I'm on it right now. The food really isn't bad. Some meals are better than others. You just have to find what you like. And yes you eat more than what is on the plan. It's really all about portion control.

DH ans I were on it a little over a year ago and it was terrible!! The food was so disgusting I dreaded my next meal. it came to a point that alll I ate was the pizza until there was none left. I lost 7 lbs in 2 weeks (we didnt have much to lose) but we could not last the 30 days. Just the smell of the food in the microwave nauseated us. At that time I would have given anything for a Lean Cuisine..

I could not eat the food. I tried to, but some of it was just awful IMO.
