Anyone dye hair in 3rd trimester?
I know its supposedly "safe" and I may or could hold off until after the baby is born but the highlights are really grown out and I think Im done with highlights.

I plan on it. My roots are showing big-time and I think I'm going to use one of those "at-home" root touch up things for now...if I time it right I plan cutting/dying (professionally) about 3-4 weeks before my due date so I can look good in the hospital...

I have gotten my hairlighted twice during my pregnancy and will be getting it done again probably in a couple of weeks before I go into labor. I think I first got my hair highlighted at 10, maybe 12 wks.

I got my hair highlighted twice already, but a few days ago I got sick of the highlights and got a "demi color" to go back to my natural dark color...it has no ammonia or peroxide and is completely safe. It actually made my hair shinier!

did it in the first, doing it again this weekend [still in 2nd] and will have it done AT LEAST one more time before the birth. i've never heard from someone reliable that it isn't safe...doesn't stay on your hair long enough to get to your scalp and actually seep into your blood...it would have to sit there for mega-hours. your hair would fall out first.

I am pretty sure that I will continue to get mine done. I'll probably just stretch it out a little more than I normally would. My doctor says that there isnt enough research out there to say its bad for the baby. I also figure that 30 years ago people probably did it. My mom smoked when she was preggo with me and I turned out fine.

I was getting my hair highlighted my whole pregnancy, my dr said it was fine, they aren't touching the scalp with the bleach anyway.
They don't want single process's done, in the first trimester.
