Anyone else DC get a DRUM set for christmas?
So my MIL gave my DS a drum set since "every child should have one". Everyone who knows her says i'm not suprised. I will post a pic soon. I'm just wondering if anyone else got gifts like this?

NO--but for their bday we are! they have my BIL one drum-they lovvvvvvvvve it.

I wanted SOOOOOOOOOOO badly to get my DD a drumset for Christmas, but we have no room for it. I'm a music teacher and she loves to play the drums when she comes to my school. I say your MIL is awesome and is fostering a love of music in your child!

I got DS a drum from music together as a hanukkah present. He loves it. It is a soft sounding drum so mommy's ears won't go  I also got him a xylephone. I think some of those light up toys are a lot worse than a drum.

DD go this for Christmas:
After getting two of these for her b-day:
Mind you, one of the Leap Frog Drums is at MIL's house b/c she bought it to keep there, and SIL (who lives with MIL and watches DD 1x per week and knows all her toys) bought her the full musical set for Christmas.

I bought my god son a drum set b/c DH has one and my god son loves to play it. I asked his mother (my cousin) though before I did it. In retaliation, DS got 3 different fisherprice/leapfrog drums LOL!
