Anyone else dreading the start of school because of traffic.
Its so nice during the summer. The morning hardly has any traffic. But bam....so far every day this week has taken me 45 mins to get to work.
It stinks!!!!!!

Really, I totally did. I drive from Deer Park to Garden City..it only took me like 20 mins in the morning. Coming home at night is always a different story.

I was this morning when I got in the car and remembered it was the first day of school - but surprisingly it wasn't that bad today!

Yah, my 7 minute commute turned into a 45 min commute, cause some jacka$$ thought he could drive between 2 lanes crossing 347 from Nicolls Rd and collided and got stuck btw 2 cars, so it basically left 1 lane open on Nicolls Rd.

When I used to work in Great Neck you would tell when there were school holidays. It definately makes a difference to long haulers.

I live on the west coast, but it's the same deal here. School started 2 weeks ago, and my 1 hour commute instantly became an hour & 20 minutes each way. I can't wait to move closer to my job...

It blows.... I go from Levittown to Oceanside. So I either take the wantagh or the meadowbrook to sunrise. I was taking the meadowbrook during the summer cause sunrise blows so taking the meadowbrook puts me in freeport and it takes less time. BUT now I have Hofstra,Nassau and regular school traffic

There was a 16 (!) car accident on the Sagtikos this morning. It was on the opposite side and after I went through there but I was like wow. Wonder if the extra volume contributed to that.
I usually bolt out of work at 4:30 so I can beat the traffic but the past two days I've been late leaving. Now I have to make sure I get the heck out on time, for sure.
