Anyone else feelin bummed
about being big for the summer? Now that is warm out im seeing all the little skinny people out there in cute clothes. I just felt like a house in anything i put on this morning. I also went for a bridesmaids dress fitting yesterday and saw my self in the 360 mirrors- YUCK! lumps and bumps and viens...
what are you lady's doing to keep yourselves feeling attractive?

I was feeling this exact way the other day....I am just trying to eat healthy, pamper myself with manis/pedis and just focus on the fact that I am growing a life inside me...so while I may not be as beautiful as some of those girls out there in their cute clothes, I have a baby to look forward to in a few months!

I find that I get much more positive attention now than I ever did with my size 8 body.
Also, I love that empire waists and babydolls are in- everyone looks a little bit pg- and there are so many cute maternity tops to choose from now!!!

What am I doing to keep myself attractive.... that's a good one! I have yet to find much maternity stuff for the warm weather that I even feel comfortable wearing outside of my house - its going to be a HOT summer! ANd bathing suits....that's a whole other issue!

Yes totally! I put on a cute and comfy little summer nightgown and made the mistake of looking in the mirror, I bawled and wouldn't tell DH why. I think I need to go buy some new and giant jammies.
That's just in my bedroom and doesn't even begin to describe how I feel outside of the house.
I keep trying to focus on the baby's arrival and the fact that nursing will help me get back into shape.

I'm having a REALLY hard time getting a grip on gaining weight so yes, it bums me out. I'm almost 20 weeks and still just look fat, not pregnant, which I almost think is worse. I put a bathing suit this morning and felt  I feel so vain but I cant help it...

I am overweight to begin with, and the extra preggo weight isnt helping!
I feel like cancelling plans sometimes bc I look like such a house and am embarrassed. I also don't look preggo yet - just fat!

yes but there is nothing we can do. just try to look as "cute" as you can as a pregnant person. Splurge on some pampering. You will be wearing the cute normal clothes again and you'll have a bonus too (baby).

I'm just making sure that I'm not doing anything different...I still dress nice, do my hair & makeup, get manis/pedis...I haven't gotten lazy with that stuff (well, not yet!...but I don't think I will)
For me, more so than the issue of gaining weight, I've noticed extra flabbiness now that I haven't been to the gym so that bums me out...but I'm 110% sure of myself that that once the baby is born I'll get right back into shape...and hopefully my muscles will cooperate!

Its almost nice not having to worry about how I look in my bikini!!! I know how I look in my bikini..PREGNANT..Dont get me wrong I'd rather be my usual size 6 and right now I feel like the pillsbury dough boy but Ive never been pregnant in the summer and I actual am enjoying it.

Yes and no. I wish I could wear some of the cute little outfits (I could for about another month probably, but I don't see the point in buying them now).
On the other hand, this is the first year in many, many years that I haven't been working hard to remove that extra 5 lbs. gained during winter that never seemed to go away easily. In that sense, I'm enjoying summer!
