Anyone else finding it impossible to sleep?
This is not a new problem for me. I finally was able to get comfy on the couch a few weeks ago, and that is over.
If I sleep on my back, my hands go numb and my back hurts a little
If I sleep on my side, my hips kill me. I re-triggered the spasms doing this.
DH noticed how bad I sleep because my hair is all matted when I wake up from tossing and turning.
I am exhausted, cannot function at work and in pain.
Part of me (at 17 wks) just wishes I can be on modified bedrest just so I can sleep intermittently, which is all I seem to be able to do.
Any ideas? I have the snoogle and it is not a lifesaver by any means.
I see a chiro 2x/wk for disc compression already and I mention this every time. They can't seem to help me.

Re: Anyone else finding it impossible to sleep?
I was up at 4:30 this morning and never went back to sleep. Yes I hear you loud and clear. With 3 days until my c/s I am counting down the hours.

mich - how are you using the snoogle?
I use it the way they recommend, sometimes i use it to prop my back up to sleep in an upright position.

Not sure how they recommend using it, but you should spend like 30 minutes trying out all different kinds of positions with it.... I really think you'll be able to find a way to get comfortable with it.

Re: Anyone else finding it impossible to sleep?
sometimes when nothing else works, try actually FACING the snoogle instead of having it behind you... and put one part between your legs...

Did that. Hit or miss
The problem is coming from my disc which is sitting on a nerve.

Re: Anyone else finding it impossible to sleep?
I have no advice only because at 17w2d I am feeling just like you. I get 3 to 4 hours of solid sleep, then I toss and turn for the other 4 or 5. My sciatica started to kick in the last few days and I just cannot get comfortable. I try to take naps when i get tired during the day but I am a SAHM so my schedule allows for that.
I'd love to hear some tips also!

Re: Anyone else finding it impossible to sleep?
I don't sleep good mostly b/c I am getting up to pee all night long. If I try to hold it in too long to get a little more sleep in b/w I ended up with a terrible cramp

Re: Anyone else finding it impossible to sleep?
I feel your pain. I was not the greatest sleep and DH doesn't make it any better. I cannot remember the last time I had a good nights sleep. I can't even get comfortable on the couch. It is so sad that at the end of the day, I don't even look forward to climbing into bed
