Anyone else frustrated by the North Fork Bank to Capitol One switch?
The online banking is so frustrating. We use our debit cards a lot, and it takes them forever to post it.
I think I'm just a creature of habit, but I really dislike change.

Actually, I didn't see any problems when I logged on last night.
Although I remember a post from a few weeks ago that mentioned the debit card issue.
I'm hoping to switch out of there soon anyway. I hated Northfork and from that post a few weeks ago a lot of people weren't happy with Capital One.
I guess I'll wait to see how it goes for at least 2 months than decide if I'll switch.

i had my business account with northfork and i just switched to Wamu cause i didnt like the changes.

OMG I am so mad- I HATE Cap 1!!!!!
But I don't want to walk away from an account I've had open for 13 years...
Though it was with LISB, which became GreenPOint, then NorthFork (who i also hated). Now Capitol 1?

Oh man, I had Greenpoint, then North Fork & now Capital One. I can honestly say that I have not seen any problems yet with the change over. DH & I have contemplated changing banks but I can say that with Direct Deposit, it is a big PIA.....

I cancelled my Capital One credit card because I hated them so much. Now I have Capital One Bank! I'm switching to Commerce.

I had a hard time recently with it.
Because a few years back I paid off an auto loan through North Fork. Well, sold the car and for some reason never got the paperwork of the satisfied lien and the title still had North Fork on it.
So, I had to call a million different numbers at Capital One to get just one person to help me figure out a fix for the situation. It was really frustrating!!! Thank goodness I don't have any other accounts with them.

 Over here! ME ME!!!! I HATE the changes! I love North fork bank! (I grew up in Mattituck and still live here which is where NFB started). Now I just feel like a # even though the same staff is there (for the most part)
We actually had to call the bank yesterday b/c we had transferred $ and it didn't show up that it had been taken out and the other account was different--- things are posting much slower than they used to.

We've had them since they were greenpoint too. I am too lazy to switch cause my bills come out automaticlly and i have direct deposit to.

I have them and I did not like the changes so far. I am not sure which bank I would like to switch to though. I am thinking commerce but there is none by me. They are building one on DPA which then I have to drive to the bank thats annoying. Anyone recommend a good bank?

Credit Unions are great. No fees and great rates on their products. I also have an account at Commerce and I really dislike them.

A customer told me today that they went to a restaurant over the weekend and tried to use his debit card and it was declined. When he called Captial One they told him that people had no access to their accounts saturday and sunday due to the change.
COULD you imagine  I mean at least the bank I work for is open on Saturdays and Sundays. But capital One is your screwed!!

that's weird- DH and i both used our debit cards last weekend and had no problem...
Might not have been all cards. He never said it was everyone, But it was enough for him to switch banks.
