Anyone else get requests like this ?
I am changing a few things for anonymity  , but here is an e-mail I received from one of the class parents:
On Wednesday the class is in need of 4 parent to arrive at 10:00am to help make pumpkin bread.Volunteers will need to bring a mixing bowl, measuring cups,measuring spoons, mixing spoon and cookie sheet. The volunteers will help a small group of students follow a recipe to make Pumpkin Bread and then bring home the loaves to bake. The VOLUNTEERS will need to BAKE, WRAP,and return the loaves by the next morning.
Mrs.Burke will be providing the mini loaf pans, ingredients and material and ribbon to wrap

yikes! I have yet to get any requests like that! LOL. I got a notice that they needed volenteers to donate stuffing, mashed potatoes, napkins, plates, cups, juice, corn for the thanksgiving feast. I am sending in napkins haha,

I'm donating food for the class feasts for my sons.. but i get to do it all in the comfort of my own kitchen and then just bring in the goodies on the day of!

Not all schools can cook on premises.
I think the idea is cute and fun and I would be all over it. But I love to cook/bake!

LOL we did this PLUS we each had to bring in an ingredient!! At first two of the parents were splitting the loaves to bake, each taking half. But then one of them actually volunteered to bake all the loaves to save the other parent the hassle. Good Luck!!

Me too! I'd totally volunteer for this!
I love to bake too, but my hands are full right now with my other 2 LO's at home- I'm lucky I have time to make dinner most days

Because some cafeteria staffs (like the one at my school) don't allow anyone to use their kitchens.
