Anyone else get scared to weigh in, especially when you have had a good diet week?

It's almost like a bad weigh in is worse, because you know you worked so hard. I'm weighing in Fri and I'm scared...

I started Phase 1 of south beach last Tues. I weighed myself on Fri, 4 days later and was happy with the number. On Mon I weighed myself again out of curiosity and I gained 1 lb! I had been perfect all weekend, following the diet.

I know there is weight fluctuation but on phase 1 you are supposed to be getting rid of water weight. So now I'm scared for Fri, because I've been perfect on the diet and I really need to see some progress. I'm in my 4th month of dieting (trying different methods to find one that works) and I have had basically no progress. Chat Icon

I lost 30 lbs from south beach 7 years ago so I know it works, but I'm still scared nonetheless. Anyone else get like this?

I do WW and even at lifetime, I go in and weigh every week and still Im nervous!

You have to step OFF the scale and wait till Fri. and you take it from there.

A loss is a loss so dont set yourself up for any dissappointment just yet.

I never weight myself in between.

I have my good and bad days too and there are times I think I did great and my loss isnt great and then times I dont do so great and boom, a big weight loss.

Every day can fluctuate.

If SB dosent work out for you either, I strongly advise WW. I cant tell you how much this works and its not a diet anymore to me, its a lifestyle.

GL and Im sure you are doing well and Fri you will be happy and have some good results.

Thanks! Chat Icon I learned my lesson. Weigh in Fridays ONLY!

I tried WW but could never lose weight. SB is the only diet that really works for me. For some reason, I can't lose weight unless I cut carbs.

Well, my weigh in went well. I lost 1 lb and now I'm down 3.5 total. It's the lowest weight I have been since I started in April. I think the SB diet is the way to go!
