Anyone else get spotting in the middle of their cycle? UPDATED
So, from my other post-- you may know that this is my second cycle off the pill.
Yesterday, CD26, I noticed spotting-- when I wiped, and drips in the toilet initially (I know gross). It did not continue as much throughout the day and sometimes there was nothing when I wiped. I do not think it's the beginning of my period though and it reminded me that last month-- on about CD28, I had what I thought was my period initially, but it was just spotting cause it only lasted for a day and it was intermittent. I then did not actually get my period til CD46.
So, now-- I am at about the same point in my cycle that I was last month. I am not anticipating my period anytime soon, and this is too early to be my actual period because I NEVER get it early.
Should I be concerned, or is this just what body is doing right now?
UPDATE
Ok-- I did a little research after seeing responses on here, and apparently the spotting is a sign that you are ovulating, especially in longer cycles (totally ME!). I spotted yesterday (Wed), and BD'd Saturday and Monday. So, we will do a little more BDing tonight and maybe this month won't be out due to us finding our way around TTC. We shall see!

Re: Anyone else get spotting in the middle of their cycle?
I've actually read that mid cycle spotting is actually normal and some women spot when they ovulate and indicates good fertility....not sure if thats what you're seeing, but I've read that, so I hope that means good things for you!!!

I had that my first month off of BC, my OB/GYN said that it is very normal especially the first few months off of BC - she said your ovaries are waking up

thanks for the info!
Any idea if spotting indicates you have just ovulated, or that you are about to?

Not to make you worry, but I have had the same problem the past few months. I went for my annual and the doctor said that it could be a polyp. I'm going for a sono on monday to make sure. I have long cycles also, about 42 days. I usually spot about a week before for a day or two. Very little, and it is always brown. Sorry TMI..

Well, considering this is my second cycle off the pill and I didn't have the spotting before, I am not sure it would be a polyp in my case since being on the pill wouldn't stop the bleeding. My spotting is also pink/red-- consistent with what I have been seeing in articles online.
I have had chronic polyps before, but in other parts of my body . However, I will keep a watch on it.
Good luck at your sonogram.

I spotted last month, that is why I went to my dr. And after a week of spotting, I finally ovulated! But my cycle was off about a week
