Anyone else hate shopping for themselves now?
My shower is later today and I wanted to get a new outfit for the occasion. I haven't shopped since I was about 20 weeks(I am 33 weeks now) so its been a while. I honestly thought I was going to cry. People keep telling me how great I look, but I felt like a whale in everything I tried on. Poor DH didn't know how to console me. I just wanted to look and feel good about myself at the shower, but I don't think it's possible for me. I just don't love my new body. Does anyone else feel like this? When I mention it to others they seem almost offended that I feel like I do. Please tell me I am not alone!!

For the most part no, but shopping for my shower outfit has been...troublesome.
Work clothes fit me great. Play clothes fit me great.
But trying to find something in between that's pretty and party like has had me frustrated.
Flouncy skirts make me look HUGE.
Dresses don't fit my boobs (the dress is too big unfortunately).
Anything with a pattern seems to be a no-no and anything solid just looks boring.
I've ordered about 12 different things from different places with high hopes that something will work and so far...NOTHING!!!
So I feel your pain!!

Yes I hate shopping...even for shoes I know it is not the time for me to worry about my looks but I am super self-comscious about it lately

i don't see why they would be offended? i am only 9 weeks but i KNOW i won't be liking my body as i get further along. It doesn't mean i don't love my baby - its just hard to adjust.

I dont like it...dont feel that shopping for maternity clothing as Fun & enjoyable!
The clothes are not flattering except to the belly, which I am proud of, but dont feel the need to flaunt it all the time and because the clothes make you look bigger than you may appear.

I have to agree that shopping for a shower outfit its really annoying, as is shopping for a spring jacket

I hated shopping for my shower outfit that is why I wore dark denim jeans and a cute brown shirt that had some gold sequence on them. For maternity cloths in general I really didnt mine but I am the same way even not PG. I just dont enjoy shopping when I actually need something specefic for an occassion.
