Anyone else have really bad anxiety?
Hi all! I am 29 weeks with #2 and I feel like my anxiety is out of control. While I expect to be anxious about the pregnancy, I feel like I am anxious about everything but! It is so bad that I have been crying multiple times throughout the day. I just feel like something awful is going to happen to me, my toddler, my husband. I am sure that it does not help that we are still displaced by Hurricane Sandy, but considering others situations, I know that we do not have it bad and I am being completely unreasonable.
Does anyone else feel this way? Is it just hormones?
Thanks for letting me vent

Hormonal or not, you don't deserve to feel this way. Is there someone you can talk to? Or maybe ask your dr for a recommendation to speak to a therapist. Even if you only go a few times, it might help to relieve some of the anxiety and help you figure out what's bothering you.

Re: Anyone else have really bad anxiety?
Thanks! DH has been very patient with me, so it does not feel like I am keeping it in. I just feel like a crazy person! I feel like my fears are totally irrational... I am hoping it passes like other pregnancy symptoms, but I will definitely talk to the doctor if it doesn't.
Thanks

Re: Anyone else have really bad anxiety?
I've been struggling too but I find it comes and goes.
I have had difficulty controlling the anxiety about getting everything together in our life in preparation for the baby. Not really baby related - more like home repairs, plans for returning to work and possibly moving, etc.
I get overwhelmed easily too.
One reason I think is that I have not been exercising (my own fault). I do find even a short walk seems to help. I used to rely heavily on a healthy diet and exercise to control anxiety in the past.
DH has really stepped it up after we went through a really bad period a few weeks ago. Since then, I really have had a lot of relief and have been feeling more normal.
I hope this helps.

It's great that your husband is there for you. Keep talking to him and being honest.
But at the same time, crying multiple times a day and fearing that something might happen to you or your family is not ok. You have more than just yourself to think about and I'd strongly encourage you to consider speaking with a professional.
