Anyone else have their LeapPad order CANCELLED by Barnes & Noble?
I did and I am making a big stink about it. There is no reason to cancel an order on a product that they will get in eventually.
I really believe they just cancelled my order b/c I paid with the 40% off coupon.
complete and utter ********.
I hope no one else is going through this but if you are let me know. there is strength in numbers!!!!!

How long ago did you order it? NYS has strict laws regarding mail order & internet goods. If the item can not be shipped within a certain number of days after payment the law stipulates that it must be refunded, even if the customer is willing to wait.
I can't remember anymore what the length of time is, I used to work in direct mail but have been out of it for almost 7 years now.

Jess this is from the B&N site, maybe it can help you. Did you get any email of an order confirmation?
What happens if an item in my order is out of stock?
Sometimes items in you order may fall out of stock while we are processing your order. In this event, you will receive an email notifying you of a delay. If you have other items in your order, they will be shipped as scheduled, even if you selected "Send everything together" as your shipping preference. We will continue trying to fulfill your order as quickly as possible. If the order is still out of stock 30 days after the first email is sent, you will be asked to approve a 30-Day Order Extension. If you do not approve the extension, this part of your order will be canceled within 24 hours. Remember, you can cancel your order at any time.

they claim now after further investigaton that the order didn't go through b/c the payment didn't go through. which is a bold faced lie b/c the bank account was debited the exact amount from B&N on the exact date.
I am writing to the company.
don't issue a coupon if you won't stick by it.
and guess what MEFFERS, now I am buying a KINDLE so you can SUCK IT.

Wait wasn't the 40% off coupon for in store only? Were you one that called the store and they had it in hand and was shipping it from the store? Otherwise if it was the 40% off coupon that was posted here that was for in store only - from what I remember. Was that why they canceled it?

Ouch!
I got the leappad via Ebay from a seller. Kills me to say but just the pad without any extras cost me $184. Since Grandpa was giving her $80 and Auntie gave her $100, we got it but yeah… I hurts my hear to know that it went that way. Thing is for me, I couldn’t buy ‘right away’ or whenever a deal was good. I had to wait for the money first.
20mins later we refreshed that ebay seller and he had another one for $194. I can only imagine how much they’ve gone up since. But we got ours, uploaded games, set it up and its ready to be repackaged in a box for xmas morning.
What we do for our kids......

That stinks -I know some stores won't do that if they don't have the item on their shelf. I called them to see if they had any in their store that I could use that coupon with and they were out. I asked if they could order it for me and use the coupon and I was told if it wasn't on their shelf then they couldn't do that for me. I would complain - they probably weren't supposed to sell it to you but I would see if they would honor it when they get a new shipment in (but that might be after the holidays).

They cancelled my order too - I wasn't using a coupon. I am beyond annoyed with them, tried calling and got disconnected by their wonderful automated system. Sent an email on Friday, no response at all. Luckily, my mom was able to get one from Target this morning.

If it makes you feel any better, I was waiting on another LeapPad from B&N and UPS LOST IT!!! It was supposed to be delivered on Thursday and now they just put a lost tracer on it which can take up to 8 business days (aka 2 weeks) to locate (if at all). And as we all know, B&N doesn't have any more that they could ship me to replace it. F'in wonderful.

Yup! But why take the chance to lose your job over that, KWIM???? I can't see our regular driver doing that, but maybe he was out that day? Or maybe they really did just lose it???
