Anyone else having trouble not pushing themselves?
Before I got pregnant, I was a very active, very independent person. I always carried my own bags and the heaviest briefcase imaginable. Now I am getting bigger (15 weeks) and I am having trouble slowing down. I keep pushing myself, and I am getting really scared. I am on self-induced bedrest (when not working) until Friday. Is anyone else having this problem?

Re: Anyone else having trouble not pushing themselves?
Me Me Me!!
I was very indendent strong willed person. I used to exercise, clean my house like a madwoman, cook dinner for DH, take out the garbage, lift all sorts of things, put bottles on the water cooler, oh yeah, that place called the gym I pay for, yeah I used to go to that too.
Now, I am soo tired, DH won't let me walk my dog cause she pulls and he's worried she'll make me fall, i can't take out the trash, I lose my breath now going up 1 flight of stairs, forget cleaning!
It's been real nice having a break sometimes so I can sleep, but I feel so bad for DH, he has to do everything, he's sweet though, whenever i feel guilty he talks to my tummy and tells the baby to make mommy stop worrying-he'll take care of everything!

Me too. DH is making me slow down a lot and take it easy. He carried the hampers downstairs for me now too LOL He hates that my commute is so long but it is what it is... I still over do it sometimes becasue I get into cleaning fits (nesting already maybe? LOL).

Re: Anyone else having trouble not pushing themselves?
Before I was put on bedrest (which I still want to do everything around the house when no one is here) At 18 weeks I went camping with my friends and decided that it would be fun to go whitewater rafting off season so very little current for 7 miles well we had to paddle the entire 7 miles I had so much fun but now on bed rest I am miserable... The worst is no gym Always get yelled at by hubby when I try to do something...............

Re: Anyone else having trouble not pushing themselves?
I seem to want to do everything and now at 23 weeks - i've defintely had no choice but to slow down. My back has been killing me and doing the most minimal things around the house or office is getting really difficult for me - I simply can't do it because the pain is just unbareable.
But i feel great in the sense that I haven't had any morning sickness and want to do alot of things - we are moving into our home in January and baby is due in February - the hardest part is not being able to pack as easily on my own and doing simple things around the house - but i try my best and DH helps me alot.

Re: Anyone else having trouble not pushing themselves?
AT 30 weeks I still find myself doing things as I normally would do when not PG and I wonder why I get so exhausted easily and why I physically hurt sometimes!!

Re: Anyone else having trouble not pushing themselves?
I am definitely having a hard time slowing down...sometimes I just can't stop myself. I do find myself getting tired and so out of breath...even climbing one little set of stairs.

Re: Anyone else having trouble not pushing themselves?
I am 35 weeks and I have not slowed down yet! I am not moving furniture or anything but I still do everything else I did before. Every now and then it will catch up to me and then I make sure I rest. I am very active, so as long as you feel good I say you are fine.
