Anyone else hear about Sachem being on lock-down ???
When I took DS to school this AM, there were at least 20 police cars, sniffing dogs, 2 helicopters etc...on the way there....I dont get news 12, but my BFF just told me its on that there is a bank robber and that Sachem schools are on lock down
( would be odd if its all Sachem schools though ) Anyone have any details ??? Its kinda scary !

I "HEARD" it was becuase of a Bank Robbery on Portion, but don't know what bank

I just looked it up on News12.com
It says that they have a normal school day but students aren't allowed to leave the buildings.

We got a call from the distict. There was a bank robbery on portion road.

I wonder which bank....
The last time it was the Captial One Bank at the corner of Old Nichols and Smithtown Blvd (which turns into Portion)

On another forum here it says is was the HSBC bank (near Stop n Shop)

my co-workers children go to sachem (one in hs, one in ms and one in es) all of the schools were put on lockdown (it was just lifted though) She was told that he HSBC bank on Portion Road was robbed and that they caught one suspect but were still searching for the other.

oh no...I know someone who works there. The bank is in walking distance to the middle school
