Anyone else in 3rd tri with a lot of pelvic discomfort when getting up from a seated position??
Anyone??? I've had a lot of pelvic bone discomfort off and on since about 22 weeks but these past 2-3 days it's been pretty unbearable at times. I'm okay once I am up and moving around but getting up from bed and from the couch is SO torturous at times. It's like I am waiting for my poor separated pelvic bones to settle into place. Anyone else??? I imagine this is all fine and normal and I know the baby is okay since I was at the OB yesterday and had a sono and was hooked up to the monitor for 30 min. but I was wondering what you all thought. I'll be back at the OB on Friday so if it's still really uncomfortable I will mention it then. Thanks!

Re: Anyone else in 3rd tri with a lot of pelvic discomfort when getting up from a seated position??
ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I sit in a certain position too long or when I am getting up in the middle of the night..I feel like she is going to drop out of me...its worse when I have to pee really bad and get up I have also been getting some mild period like cramps and the Dr said that is normal too. At this stage of my pregnancy I feel like a 1st time pregnant woman because I delivered Hayley at 35 weeks so I don't know all of the aches and pains after 35 weeks.

oh yeah. it has gotten worse over the last 2 weeks. Your pelvis is widening so that is why you feel that way.

Oh good!!!!.........it's not just me then!!! I literally have to stand up hunched over, wait a minute, and then s-l-o-w-l-y get moving and walk. It's so annoying and so uncomfortable!! Sorry you guys are experiencing the same thing but at least I know it's normal and common.

Re: Anyone else in 3rd tri with a lot of pelvic discomfort when getting up from a seated position??
I've been there for at least a couple months now... strangely, my hips have been somewhat content this week but for most of my 2nd and 3rd trimester, I was in miserable pain.
My friend who just had her baby had the worst case I've ever seen of it. the week prior to her delivery (she delivered early @ 36 weeks) she literally couldn't walk
things I found may somewhat alevieate the pain:
don't sit down for too long in one place... get up and walk around every hour
while sleeping on your side, make sure you have ample pillows supporting the upper leg, it should be parallel to the mattress, not angled downward...
staying hydrated (I'm upto 5L a day... once I began force feeding myself that extra liter a day, many aches and pains became less severe, and my granny ankles also somwhat improved... end result, I can get out of bed much easier now)
feel better!

Widening????............I'm convinced that my pelvic bones are no longer even remotely attached at this point!! I could probably pass a car through my pelvis these days.

Re: Anyone else in 3rd tri with a lot of pelvic discomfort when getting up from a seated position??
Thank god for this thread!
I am ‘loosely jointed’ meaning all my joints are generally loose and barely hanging on to begin with. I wish I were just doubled jointed.. it would be EASIER
Being preggo I knew may cause problems..
Over the last week or so I get ridiculous pains in my left hip. I know what it feels like when it moves out of joint and its more painful than that but similar enough to let me know its almost the same thing. I just figured it was my pelvis widening.
Its so bad I CANT walk. I get it the worse after I finally make it to the ground level near WTC. So I’m sitting still from Huntington to Penn then some stairs then still again from Penn to WTC. After finally getting to the ground level I start my 15mins trek to the WFC.
Its SOOOOOOOO Painful. I literally stop mid step (not in the street) and have to wait for the pain to pass. Its like I can barely hold up my own increasingly large weight.
Thank god this is my last week commuting to the city.
I wish I could ‘get up and move’ but really, how can I do that on the LIRR.
Does this mean no watching Batman???

Re: Anyone else in 3rd tri with a lot of pelvic discomfort when getting up from a seated position??
Yes! and Dr said it was normal, just the pelvis spreading getting ready for child birth.... to test this theory DH measured my belly VS my hips...and my hips were wider that my 8 mth pregnant belly

Re: Anyone else in 3rd tri with a lot of pelvic discomfort when getting up from a seated position??
Yesssssssss. Every morning when I get up I have to move very slowly out of the bed. If I sit for too long and get up the pain is so bad, but once I am up and start moving around it goes away.
September is almost here
