Re: Anyone else just have "cold like" symptoms?
I just got my BFP and I have had cold like symptoms for about 2 weeks...it hasn't turned into a full blown cold, so now I'm thinking it's PG symptom (I know it's not a sinus infection). I guess I'll ask my doc when I have my first appt.

Re: Anyone else just have "cold like" symptoms?
YES!!!
In my 1st trimester, before I found out I was PG, DH got a bad cold. Then I began to get sick and I was cursing him for giving his cold to me. I sneezed all day, my nose dripped, and my voice got super hoarse. My colleague thought I was PG from those symptoms alone, because it happened to his wife.... It was too early for m/s, but those were my 1st symptoms!!!

Re: Anyone else just have "cold like" symptoms?
It went away around the time the excessive m/s kicked in - although I could have been bleeding from every orifice in my body and I wouldnt have noticed because my m/s was so bad! So maybe I still had the cold symptoms. I just remember not being able to even hold down fluids and losing 13 pounds. On my honeymoon....
The cold symptoms have just come back recently in my 32nd week though.... In the grand scheme of things, its the most mild of all the PG symptoms!!!! I completely forgot about it until this post!!!

Re: Anyone else just have "cold like" symptoms?
Sorry to say, mine started at the BFP and never goes away. I had the sneezing, stuffy nose, bloody nose all throughout pg with DD, and the same so far with #2.

Re: Anyone else just have "cold like" symptoms?
Pregnancy congestion is very common. So are nosebleeds, so if you are starting to see some of that I would not worry. Of course always let your Dr. know what is going on with you & your symptoms.

Re: Anyone else just have "cold like" symptoms?
I am almost 15 weeks and feel like I have had a minor cold since 1 week before my BFP. I am hoping it disappears soon, but compared to m/s it is very mild!

Re: Anyone else just have "cold like" symptoms?
YUP- my allergies/sinus' are so bad that I constantly have a soar throat! I sneeze more now than ever before and if I don't carry tissues around, I'm in big trouble.
Sorry- doesn't seem to go away. I started at maybe 8weeks and still going strong here at 19 weeks

Re: Anyone else just have "cold like" symptoms?
Yes -- my dr called the condition "rhinitis of pregnancy." (I always like to know the names of things for some odd reason.) Sneezing and stuffiness are very common -- a pain to deal with, but nothing to worry about. Just let your dr know.
Hope you feel better soon!
