see, islanders fans ARE die hard fans. they dissapoint us every year but we still stick by them. ranger fans are people that like to jump on the bandwagon and know they have 3 key players.

oh and yes, we may be relaxing playing golf but the rangers aren't going to come anywhere near getting the cup. they're terrible

I will have to say, when the Islanders season is over, I'm routing (with my brother especially who is a HUGE hockey fan) for the Devils.

I LOVE hockey. I've been a Ranger fan my entire life. My husband is from Pittsburgh. I'm hoping for a Rangers - Penguins match up. It'll be so much fun.

are you serious?? the division was so close the whole season. only a few points apart (like 2-3 points) maybe YOU dont know much about the game. (although the "game" has nothing to do with how "well" the rangers were doing this season) the rangers weren't doing anything worth mentioning.
and as far as the 3 key players, lindquist, jagr (who did terribly this year) and gomez. so sit on that. the rangers are the yankees of hockey. they buy their all star players. but wait, let me ask, whose cute on the rangers??
and there are alot more fake giants fans out there than there are of the jets.

Do you realize that by "trading" the Islanders for the Devils it means that we are simply rooting against the Rangers? At least, thats what it means for me. If my team is not in the race, you will surely see me rooting for the team playing our enemy.

teams that do well in a regular season will not always play well in playoffs and vice versa... playoffs is like a seperate season altogether... the team that stays healthy, calm under pressure and with a little bit of luck will win... sure I'd love to see devils win, but the same team cant win every year, thats what makes the games interesting...
