Anyone else read the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child?
I just read that they are making "One Shot" into a movie and Tom Cruise is playing Reacher. Possibly the worst casting ever, he's about a foot shorter and 100 lbs lighter than the way Child describes the character.

I love most of the books in the Reacher series. When I heard Tom Cruise's company bought the rights for the movie, I thought no way was he planning to play Reacher! but alas, ego knows no bounds  I am not sure I would want to watch the movie-it will be way too incongruous to fit Tom Cruise into my imagination of Reacher!

I just told this to DH and he went ballistic lol His mouth literally opened in shock ,and he kept saying "Tom Cruise as Reacher? REACHER? Tom Cruise is like 4 feet tall. He's REACHER?!?!" lol!!!
I guess Lee Child gets no say?

Tom Cruise CANNOT be Reacher!!!!  I can't think of an appropriate actor right now, but he has to be over 6ft!
