Anyone else think IVF when they see twins?

Am I just jaded by the IF process or does anyone else think "IVF" when they see twins?

Every time I hear about someone being pg with twins or recently having twins... my first thought is "I wonder if they went thru IF" and Im dying to know their story..

I know there are natural ways to conceive twins. I just cant help myself sometimes lol

Lately just when I see ANYONE with a baby stroller I wonder if they had a tough road to get where they are... I guess it makes me feel better about my own life to think there are others out there who made it out on the other side, regardless of how many they got at once! That's why when I have a baby, I'd like to put a sign on my stroller that says "product of ART "

There's a onesie on thinkgeek.com that says, "Made with love and science". I know they mean biology, but in my mind it's ART!

I would totally get a sign like that!! or one that reads product of "blood, sweat, tears, needles and meds!!"

Totally.... I even suspect my cousin went thru some sort of treatment 13 years ago. They have but swear up and down it was natural. shhyeah. They forgot that they were ttc for 5 years and everyone knew it.

i do and i don't..i do bc we r going the ivf route..but i don't bc i have twin sisters that were concieved naturally

I think the same thing...especially if they are fraternal twins and the mom is a bit older...it doesnt matter either way how they had them but I am curious to know...

I do but don't think ivf immediately, I think infertility issue bc I know several friends who conceived twins via IUI.

Whenever I'm out with the boys & people ask me if they are twins, I always tell them my first was a product of ivf & my second was unplanned when #1 was 3 months but natural. I have met so many people with similar situations or been through ivf for all their kids.

i always speculate for twins. my cousins are twins that were naturally conceived. i know several "natural" twins, but most are my age and not babies. when i see babies i do think IF treatment. i dont know why.

no, i know a lot of people that have had them naturally so it never occured to me to think IVF or fertility treatments...

I know several 'natural' twins, but after having gone through IF treatments .. i now always think of IVF or IF treatments if i hear about twins. Guess you can't help but relate it to what you've been through yourself

in fact, just yesterday DH told me someone at his work was pregnant with twins. DH is close with this person and they know we went through IF issues and confided in him that the twins were through IVF.

I never met anyone who had twins unless they were going thru IF treatments; so yes I always think that

For the most part yes. Especially when I see fraternal twins.

I'm even worse, if I see anyone with twins and they are over age 41, I immediately think IVF with donor eggs. Though my very good friends at 40 had b/g twins with just an IUI.

Not usually for twins, but definitely for triplets! And I knew 2 sets of triplets growing up but never wondered about it until I started IF treatments.

The funny thing for us is that my DH is a twin (identical) and so people think it's "in the family" (even though twins genetically would be from the mother's side) - so we've never been questioned about IF treatments now that we are pregnant with twins.

I have a few IRL friend with natural twins, so I don't jump to that conclusion, when I see trips I do !

I always wonder if they have undergone from sort of IF treatment - either IUI or IVF.
