Anyone else think this a little ridiculous?
Limbo
Okay, I'm a big Church advocate...I go every Sunday and never miss a religious holiday. But this just seems absurd to me. Who woke up this morning and went, "you know what, i think we should get rid of limbo"??????

 Is what I say. For an all knowing and all loving God to punish the sins of his/her parents (sin= they didn't get the child baptised) why should the innocent baby, born sinfree be daned to pergatory for eternity?
NEVER made sense to me.

Totally ridiculous.
I have a different God than the Pople. Mine lets unbaptized babies into heaven.

That's what this pope says too. It;s been talk for years, he just made it papel law (I think that is the right term)

I must still be sleepy - when I first read the OP I was like, what's wrong with limbo? (I was thinking of the limbo dance where you have to go under a stick leaning backwards....oops!)

This is why I dont follow The Catholic Church....
But, it's a step in the right direction! At least they are making changes and not remaining stagnant wich has been the problem with the Church for many, many years.
I don't get it though. Is it just pertaining to unbaptized children? The Church has always taught that adults who needed to repent a little before entering Heaven, went to Limbo too. Where do those poor souls hang out now??

I agree with this. There never was a "rule" for limbo. Limbo was a theory, not a church "law" so to speak.

Not sure if this was serious or if it was sarcastic. But I love the changing of rules...thank goodness we can! Imagine what america would be if we couldn't have addendums and such?
