Does anyone have a child who is afraid of everything??

Megan is scared of everything, yet is so stubborn and independent in every other way.

She is petrified of rides (carasoul, outside stores)..she does well on her bikes and in her wagon but other than that, she freaks.

She is afraid of boo-boos. If someone has a band-aid on, she just keeps crying, boo boo, boo boo.

She doesnt like ANYTHING at the park including the swings, slides, anything!

And I dont know what I am going to do about potty training. She SCREAMS when I try to put her on the potty..both regular and size and her own. She stiffens up and wont even sit down.

I am surprised because both my dh and I were apparently adventurous when we were young, I dont know where she gets it from. I feel bad because I feel like I instilled these fears in her and I dont know how to help her. Do you think its just a stage she will grow out of?

IMO...it is a phase!

My friends DS went through this. He was scared of ANY kind of change too. Hated everything. More so than even you described.

He is now 6 and a maniac, does and tries everything.

Don't worry about it at all

My 2 year old often acts like he is scared of silly things (like new shoes (strange I know) and trying new things, but I just stick with it and he gets over (what seems like) fear in a few minutes.

For instance, he hates Balloons, always acts really terrified around them. Today we went out with some of his little friends and he wouldn't go near the Balloons, until one of them (Lilly) grabbed a bunch of balloons, and BAM, the kid grabbed the balloons and ran around with them.
