Anyone else work in the Hudson/Varick & Spring area??
Just started working down here-- and normally bring my lunch to work with me.. but sometimes need to go out and buy lunch. Can't seem to find any good places... Anyone know of anything good??

I used to work at the Here Arts Center. Their cafe (set up like a living room) is great to hang out in, read, talk to people.
Ruben's Empanadas, 505 Broome @ Watts
Here Arts Center Cafe, 145 Sixth Ave (betw Spring and Broome)
Gourmet Garage, 453 Broome @ Mercer (Love this place for picking up lunch!!)
Dean & Deluca, a little farther east: Broadway @ Prince

There are some great restaurants in that area. I Just ate at Philip MArie *Hudson and Perry- i think) Sunday. Sushi on Hudson used to great. Its been a while since I was there. Petite Abielle is also on Hudson. Good for sandwhiches.
