anyone else working til "the end"

just wondering how many of you are planning on working til the baby arrives. my DD is 6/23 and school ends 6/22-hoping to make it to the end and people look at me like i'm nuts when i say this. anyone else not taking time before? thanks!

I'm with you. Working until I pop! I want as much time as possible with the baby once he/she gets here!

I am...I took 3 vacation days the week before im due just to make sure i have everything i need and to rest. If im still sealed up after my vacation days & the weekend, i might come back the week of my DD. I dont want to just sit around the house waiting.

I didn't b/c of complications I was put on bed rest - but there were two other women I worked with who were due in April - one worked until the Friday before her due date (which was the next week) and she went home and delivered that night, the other went out the Friday before her due date (which was either Sat or Sunday) and she delivered on I think Tuesday after going out.

I think it definitely can be done - both of them said though that they were miserable and wished they went out sooner. I think if you can do it - and are comfortable working until the last minute I don't see any reason if that is what you want to go ahead and do it.

I hope to work right until the very end. I am due 11-22 so I would prefer to have the time off after the baby to avoid the winter as long as possible.
I joke with my boss and tell him that he will be driving me to the hospital when the baby is ready to come out and for him to call DH when we get there.

I am, my EDD is 6/16, this is my last week commuting, but I will be working at home until the end

I am too terrified of my water breaking at work and then having to get all the way to my hospital so I am leaving around 3 weeks before.

I am. I work in a small office, relatively unbusy. I'm due 8/17 - the quietest time of the year. So I figured, why not just wait it out at work with the air conditioning.

I am trying to work until the end. I may take the week of off. Not sure yet. That's assuming I can make it to the end of course.

My intention has been to work up to the end. My EDD is 5/28 and so far I have been able to work although the last week has been a split between the NYC and LI offices. I have to admit that it's getting harder but I am trying to hang in there. If he is not here by the 28th I am going out on leave.

I probably will, health allowing. I don't get much maternity leave (3 weeks, then LWOP), so I need to stretch it out as far as I can.

Me too, plus I am afraid of being really uncomfortable AND having to sit on my arse all day at my desk. I'm due 9/22 (although I think my REAL due date is 10/1 based on my own predictions) and I'm leaving work on 8/30 which is the last day of our summer hours (5hr days)...whoo hoo!

I plan to work as long as I can. With my DD she was 8 days late, I worked a week past my due date and had her on sunday. This time is a planned c/s a week before my due date so I am hoping to make it all the way, but the heat of the summer scares me!

I am praying to God that I last until the end...I am taking full three months off to be with the baby and will not return to work until after the New Year...

My hospital is actually closer to my job than to my house and my job and commute are not physically straining at all...I would go nuts at home...I'll be home with my boy for three months...thats enough for me.

And if my water breaks on the subway...oh well...people will see the belly...they'll know I didn't pee on myself or anything...

I am planning to work until the end. I am due on August 9th...I would like to have as much time with the baby as possible before I return.

MEEEEE!!!!!!!! At least I hope to!!! I work with all men and my boss is scum. If my water could break while I'm at work, it would be perfect. I'd tell my boss to clean it up and walk out the door.

I already delivered, but I worked until the end AND BEYOND... but I do work at the hospital where I was delivering

I was due 4/24 ...
worked until 4/27...
went into labor 4/30...
delivered 5/1

My last day in June 6. I'm due the 10th! I'm not nuts. I think I can do it. It might be uncomfortable, but I want the off afterward not before.

I worked until the week before I was induced. I had a lot of restrictions...no forced overtime and I wasnt able to take calls due to irritation of my high blood pressure, so I didnt do too much
