Anyone else's baby hate food?
DD is not under weight and drinks bottles just fine for now, but she's 8 mths today and I've been trying solids since 4 mths.
She only likes bananas and tolerates yams. Everything else - she hates, gags on, turns her head, spits it out, etc.
I have tried not trying for a few days, but she still hates everything!
Now I know she gets everything she needs from her bottles/nursing, but I want her to be eating food around a year...I feel like at this rate she will be drinking formula when she's 2!

Some babies take immediately to food, others don't. My DD is 8 months and could take solids or leave them, she really doesn't have the much of an interest in them. While she pretty much has tolerated everything I've given her in terms of fruits and veggies, she HATES her cereal.
Maybe she doesn't like the texture? I assume you've moved onto Stage 2 foods? I know they have more of a texture than the Stage 1.

What foods have you given so far-- maybe you need to try other things. Have you cycled through all of the first foods? Also, what cereal are you using? Maybe you should switch brands. What about also using a little BM to mix in with the foods?
There is some stuff that Sasha just hates-- so I don't even bother going back to them.

Yeah we are trying stage 2 and even table food mashed up really well/thinned with formula.
We've made homemade apple sauce and I thought she was going to throw up.
She likes real bananas alot, but hates the jarred bananas, so I have been trying more table foods.
What amazes me is that I recently tried yogurt and she hated it!

What about Peas? Sasha loves them. She also loves her cereal-- we use the happy bellies brand mixed with BM. She lights up when I put it on the tray.

too funny - I think two of her least favorites are peas and cereal, BUT I do think she tolerates cereal much more with bm.
