Anyone else's baby measuring big??
I had my 21 week growth sono last night and all looks good. They also confirmed I am team However, the doctor did say that the baby is measuring a bit big - 91% and that we would need to keep an eye on that. Anyone else get told that? Is there anything I can do to slow down baby's growth? I am afraid of having a 9-10 pounder...my daughter was 7lbs, 6 ozs and that was tough enough on me!!

Re: Anyone else's baby measuring big??
at 29 weeks, he was in the 76th percentile at 4lbs at 32 weeks he was weighing 5lbs 13oz!!! at 34 weeks he was 6lbs 8oz
so he started to slow down a little. i'm hoping he does another growth sono either tomorrow or next week because as of 34 weeks he was saying if i made it to 39 weeks, will be over 9 pounds!!

Re: Anyone else's baby measuring big??
oh and the dr said i could cut out the crap i eat (ice cream, carbs, etc) and try to eat more of a modified diabetes diet. eat lots of protein, salads, etc. he said that could cut down the growth of the baby a lot. i of course, have no will and still eat bad :-/

Just remember that those weight predictions are just guesses. I was told the afternoon before my induction that DS was over 9lbs. He was born less then 24hours later at 7lbs11oz.

Re: Anyone else's baby measuring big??
i havent had a growth sono yet, however at 22 weeks the OB said she "feels big" when he was measuring my uterus. she always measured at least a week ahead at early sonos (by CRL). I PRAY that they dont let me go late if she is big!

Re: Anyone else's baby measuring big??
Honestly, I wouldn't mind the baby being big if I were having a c-section, but I had DD vaginally and plan to do the same with DS, so a big baby scares me!
