anyone else's baby not good about visiting?
DD is 3 mths and whenever we take her out to visit family/friends she is not a happy camper. She is WONDERFUL all day long at home! Happy , smiling, playful, but when we go somewhere else she cries , sometimes so hysterically and gets herself all worked up. I don't know how to help her get over this. We do go visiting often and I make sure that she sees other people, but not too much either. Any suggestions , help?

I'm sure it's just a phase. You DD is just used to her own environment so taking her out of her element is upsetting to her. Just keep doing it in moderation.

Re: anyone else's baby not good about visiting?
this was my DD and still is but only sometimes now at almost 14months. she used to hate being anywhere else other than home! it was so sad b/c no one really got to see the real her and i got so frustrated with it. she didn't like to be held either by family members or strangers. she was such a sour puss when out of her element. now she is so different and has come a long way. as she got older it got better. she still gets weird sometimes while at a strange place but not as bad. don't worry, your DD is still so young and this is most likely a phase!

We went through the same thing, but it was more about being around too many people - even when we had family over DS would freak out and be a mess the entire time. we are actually going to a party today and in the back of my mind I am a little worried that it will be a nightmare. Honestly, I have learned to just deal with it. We always try to find a quiet place when he is freaking out - that calms him down. I always have plenty of bottles on hand bc that makes him feel better...and we just hope he will grow out of it.
