Anyone else's DC not clapping or pointing at 10 months?

I know my DD was doing both by 9 months. Just wondering if anyone else's DC isn't doing it yet?

Noah will be 11 months in like a week and he has never pointed ...he clapped a bit when he learned it and will do it randomly now, but not too often and really never when asked.

DD doesn't do either and she is 10 months. She does other things though...I'm not worried.

Its too early for pointing. Pointing will happen for most kids after a year. Clapping can happen pretty much between 9 months to a year.

DS still doesn't clap at 12 months. I asked the doctor, and she said lack of clapping is not a concern as long as he does other things. He waves, points, will give an object to you when asked, he understands (where is the light - points and looks at the light, etc.).

He didn't start pointing until 11 months. Now he's a pointing machine, and points from the moment he wakes up until the moment he goes to bed!

I think the books say they should start pointing between 9 and 12 months.

Paige started clapping around 9 or 10 months. The pointing started aroud 11 months and i hasnt stopped at all.

All she does is point at everything now. Like the PP said it best - DD is a pointing machine

Same here. DD is 10 months. She does raise her arm out in the direction of something she wants to touch, but doesn't point.

DS didn't clap, point, or wave till 12 months. I was frantic!! All of a sudden he started doing all 3 literally within 2 weeks, and did them alllll the time after that!!!

If I remember correctly, I think he did all 3 shortly after he mastered walking (between 11 and 12 months) so maybe it's like they say... babies concentrate on one skill at a time.
