Anyone elses DC not seem "attached" to a toy/blanket?

I SWEAR she has no security/transitional object that "the books" talk of. Nothing that she carries around with her, nothing she cuddles with.

She sleeps with her gajillion binkies, that's it. She's got one little lovey blanket in her crib which she ignores. She got a baby doll for Christmas, but we don't put her to bed with it.

She has a VTech Crib toy (plays lullabies and has a projector) that she turns on herself (but the batteries are dead right now).

Andrew never had anything. Well, except this thumb, but luckily he kicked that habit on his own at about 16 months. He's no worse for not ever having one!

My son is the same way (he's 13 mos). The only object he's attached to is his pacifier.

I think Ryan became attached to his bankie after 2, before that he could care less.

My DS #1 was never attached to anything. My DD has her baby (stuffed lamb) but so far nothing with DS #2 either.

Michael didn't attach to his blanket until he was about 10 months old. Now it goes EVERYWHERE!

The only thing Nate is attached to is his pacifier. We can keep it away for most of the day, but when he's sleepy he better have nearby.

Julia never was attached to anything, pacifier or blanket (which I'm happy about) she does like to rub and smell my shirt while she goes to sleep, so I guess you can say I'm her blanket!Chat Icon

Noah sleeps with one of my T-shirts in his crib. it absolutely stinks, even when I wash it, it seems to get that stink back within a day or two...

Its like its haunted! I am currently sleeping with another shirt at the moment to send to nursery with him...it doesn't smell yet!

besides paci's in his crib - Kevin never had that security object when he was little and I thought he never would.

I would say around 13/14 months he developed an obsession for dogs and stole a baby einstein stuffed dog out of a basket I made for SIL's baby shower. Since then he has slept with this dog and about 2-3 other small stuffed dogs at the end of his crib. He even likes a stuffed dog to nap with - but he isn't picky about which dog - he grabs any stuffed dog - soemtimes he picks several some which are bigger then him.

My ds #1 was never attached to anything, but then again I never really pushed anything on him.
With these 2 we've always given them a blanket to sleep/hold on to. DS is very attached to his blanket and needs it to sleep. DD is attached to this blanket that has a teddy head on it, she needs to hold that while she's sleeping. They've had them with them since birth, my dh was very adamant about them having a security item.

no, DD doesn't have any attachment, believe me I try...a part of me really wants her to have a favorite stuffed animal.
