Anyone else's DH obsessed with what they eat?
My DH has to be the most observant eater ever! He always wants to proper portions of everything he eats, practically down to the percentages - like 50% protein, 20% fat, etc etc.
I pre-warned him that we're having lasagna tonight and he told me he wouldn't eat it because I refused to make a veggie with it  So now I have to steam some veggies to toss into the lasagna so he eats it!
I don't know whether this is hysterical or a pain in the a$$ !

Your DH sounds very high maintenance to me when it comes to food. Is he a nutritionist?? My DH is happy to have a hamburger.

Well, my husband watches but not anywhere near that. THAT kind of anal is my brother - without a doubt. He never lets a single thing enter his body that is not either organic, totally healthy for you or has some other kind of nutritional benefit. He doesn't even eat cake on his birthday! He has such great discipline and would go to the gym at least 5 times a week... Then, he also runs everyday, twice a day. Well, that was his usual routine before he got hurt obviously. But wow, I've never known anyone like him. It is insane!
I allow myself to have 'bad' things once in a while b/c I'm not as controlled but I have a good amount of discipline and I am all about portion control but I do definitely monitor everything that goes in my mouth and I'm dedicated when it comes to working out.

Sometimes DH will make a comment if I don't make a veggie to go with dinner. If I make a pasta, I usually also have a tossed salad.
But sometimes I'm feeling tired/lazy and he's lucky to get the main dish, he knows better than to say anything on those nights

I wish i was dligent as the OP's husband!
My DH is VERY obsessed with his Italian food. He only buys Barilla pasta, only certain brands of olive oil and is very picky about certain wines, prosciutto, salami, etc. Spending so much of his life in Italy, he refuses to sacrfice the quality of his Italian food. but for other things, he is not a picky eater at all.

DH swings from one extreme to the other depending on his mood- sometimes within the same week he will decide he's not eating carbs one day then the next refuse to eat vegetables.
It drives me nuts.

Yes, since before the wedding he has been watching what he eats like crazy. He's doing great with it, lost a lot of weight too, but driving me crazy in the process.
I dont eat as healthy as he does.. I like my cr*p

mine is the same way!! One week he's on a diet the next he wants to go to Five Guys to get burgers and fries.

mine refuses to eat egg yolks due to fat and cholesterol... but has NO problem eating an entire box of cookies or bag of chips in 1 sitting..

this sounds like my DH -- he is picky about certain things - like he won't have pasta 2 nights in 1 week, but he'll eat chips watching TV or he'll eat a sandwich that would feed me for a week
