Anyone ever been to St. Maartin?
We are likely to be going this summer with the girls and inlaws. My inlaws have a time share there.
Is it family oriented? Anything exciting to do there?? Any info would be great.

Yes, i would say there is enough to do for families. The beach is awesome.

I did, but we mainly just stayed on the beach and did some shopping and drinking (didn't have kids then yet either, so it was a much different kind of vacation). Its one of my favorite islands! Much cleaner than many, too. Have a great time!!!

The beaches are beautiful.
I think there are some more kid friendly resorts on some of the the other islands but if I could get a free time share in the sun, I'd take it!

We went there with DD but stayed in a hotel. We stayed pretty much the whole time at the pool and the beach. I love the island and thought the restaurants were very accomodating for us.

I remember we went and stopped there on a cruise... b4 DS. Actually, with friends b4 we were engaged.
Beautiful island and great shopping 
I want to say it was the Dutch side, but we went to this gorgeous beach and our side was topless. DH and I decided to go for a walk... I didn't see the sign and suddenly EVERYONE was naked. Just letting you know for the kids. I turned into a kid and just started giggling at the old balls. THe beer probably helped

Went there before DD-- it was beautiful! We stayed on the Dutch side, but the French side was much more bustling and more things to do.
SO many beautiful beaches. I'm sure it's family-oriented, but we didn't have any kids with us so I didn't pay attention to the child activities.

I love it there! My parents used to have a timeshare there and we would go every year, my parents friends still go and bring the grandkids with them all the time....I honestly am trying to convice DH to get a timeshare there for us
ETA: Stay on the dutch side eat on the french side!
