Anyone ever buy meat off a truck that goes door to door?
My husband just did this and I have no idea why. He said the guy said it was restaurant quality meat and he sells to restaurants and goes around with the rest. It's frozen, but I mean, how the heck to we know how old this meat is? Has anyone done this---get sick or love it? He says he knows guys at work who do this all the time and rave about the meat 
I was caught somewhere between tearing him a new one and laughing hysterically that he actually did this. Looking to see how mad I should be when I get home...

My DH did this about 2 years ago!  I got home from work one day and we had a full freezer. We ate it - it turned out fine, but I wasn't pleased with him at first.

My mom used to ALL the time..the meats were actually REALLY good, lots of different steaks, filet mignon, filet wrapped in bacon, seasoned chicken. We loved it!

So did mine. It was a long time ago though. And yes, the meats were really good!

People buy it and people sell it. It's excellent quality meats. My DH actually sold meats back in college as one of his side jobs. It ws a long sales day. There are actual companies on the Island that are for this alone.

i did it about two years ago. i had a box of red meat and a box of sea food... i actually saw the guy make a delivery to a neighbor, and then he stopped me... i decided to go for it.
we had great cuts of meat for the longest

My parents used to do it when I was little. The meat guy would come once a month. If I'm not mistaken, they got a freezer from them too for signing up for a certain program. It was all kinds of different meats (beef, poultry, etc), fish as well as frozen veggies too. It was a frozen food company.
I just looked it up. It is American Frozen Foods. They are still in business!

I wish this happened near me! When you see restaurants on TV they always have that meat that is vacuum packed and it looks like such great value!
We do however have a man who comes around selling tea bags and biscuits...how very English!
