anyone ever go for an amnio? I am having my amnio tonight.
want to know what to expect. nervous about the needle and side effects. TIA

do they numb you?
They didn't numb me, but it didn't feel like anything more than a blood draw - you know, the initial pinch and then nothing. I did have mine done on a Thursday so I could stay home Friday, Saturday & Sunday with my feet up just b/c I'm paranoid.

The anticipation of it was terrible and really all for nothing. It was no big deal and I only had some VERY minor cramping after.
