Anyone ever go to a walk in clinic?
I can't get a dr.'s appt. and I really don't have a dr. I like anyway. I am thinking of just going to a walk in tomorrow so at least I can get some kind of prescription or something. Anyone ever go to one, and if so can you recommend one? I am in Massapequa, but work near Deer Park.

There's a Walk-In Clinic in Smithtown...
519 West Jericho Turnpike Smithtown, New York 11787 631-360-5900
www.STAThealthNY.com
They are open seven days a week but I don't know if they take all insurances. I think the insurances they take are very limited because they are designed to be a more "economical" option instead of the ER (for those who don't have insurance or insurance that is not very good).
I suggest here because they were excellent when DH had a BAD reaction to a bee sting and we needed a quick cortozone shot and didn't feel like waiting FOREVER in the ER on a Holiday weekend last summer.
They are fairly close to Deer Park.
HTH!

There is one on Route 110 on the east side. Doctors Immediate Care Center. Not sure exactly where it is though.
