anyone ever had a leather jacket altered?
DH bought a new jacket, but the sleeves are too long, he was also thinking of having it taken up a little bit (its a little long ).
its fairly thin, so i don't think it would be a problem, just wondering how much $$ it would cost.

Hey,
You are thinking of having just the sleeves hemmed? or the entire bottom of the jacket?
If you just have the sleeves hemmed it shouldn't be that bad BUT... you should try to make sure you contact a cleaners with a LEATHER SEWING MACHINE... it makes a huge difference... Not all machines sew leather, and it can tear or scrap the top of the leather if they are not done on the proper machine.
What brand is the jacket?
Also... do you or your DH work in the city? there are some places in the city that might be able to do it for you off of 7th ave.

definitely need the sleeves done, would like the bottom hem done too, but if its too much ,we would just leave it as is.
