Anyone ever have a facial? I'm nervous!
I'm getting my first facial tomorrow (with my mom  -- as her b-day gift) and I have never done this before. I'm really nervous--I don't even really like manicures and pedicures. My friend said she went and they gave her a bathrobe--does that mean I have to undress???? It's just a facial?!!
I am sort of tomboyish and don't really like being fussed over, can anyone tell me what to expect?

facials IMO are the best thing in the world....
it is 99% relaxing...
theonly part i hate is when they clean out your poors...and get rid of the blackheads...
that can bekinda painful and leave soem redness...
but other than that.....It is just one of lifes greatest pleasures

Yes, you put on a robe because they do your neck and decolatage (sp) basically your upper chest. Ha. I'm not into being pampered really, either, but it was so nice to get a facial! You feel squeaky clean after!

I don't usually get in a bathrobe, they usually tell me to take off my shirt and lower my bra straps, and tell me to go under the sheets on the table. Before that they'll ask questions about your skin care procedure, etc.
They'll usually do some exfoliating, ect. And then give a head/shoulder massage.
Nothing to be nervous about - it's very relaxing!
