anyone ever have a little protein in the urine?

this is what the nurse told me my last visit...she said i had a little,nothing to worry about

does that mean more is coming?

i am getting paranoid

my feet have been super swollen,but they have been super swollen since 14 weeks

is it possible to just have a little and that be ok

i am almost 33 weeks with if that matters

Yes, they told me this when I was like 26 weeks.

Doc said it could be a urinary tract infection and asked if I had symptoms, which I didn't - other than peeing all the time but I think that is normal pregnancy.

She also said it could be nothing and then didn't say anything else about it.

I thought it was odd. I've been back since then and nothing else was said, so I guess I peed clean last time.

I wouldn't worry - they told me it was probably nothing. If you do experience UTI symptoms, just call your doc.

when I got the protein, my feet had started swelling... they ended up having me do a 24 hour jug test which put me on bedrest.... sounds like they'll just monitor you to see how the next week goes.

I did and had to do the 24 hour jug test as well. It came up as nothing, and my dr told me I need to drink more water (I'm terrible at keeping myself hydrated).

i've had a little protein since about 28 weeks. usually associated with swelling. If it increases they may have you do the 24 hr urine test.

i was hoping mine was also a UTI but they made me do the 24-hour collection. they didnt worry me at all (my dr was very laid back but also very proactive). after the 24-hour i was immediately admitted to the hospital for pre-e. if they didnt ask you to do the 24-hour collection the levels are probably just slightly above normal but you should DEF make sure they are watching you like a hawk. pre-e is no joke and the fact that you have protein AND swelling IMO is a red flag. if you experience headaches, vision changes (like floaters), dizziness or pain below your ribcage (different than normal pain from the babies), DEF DEF call your doctor immediately.

at 15w they told me i had some protein in my urine... ive had 2 appointments since, they havent said it since then...

BP was normal and no swelling.

I had a little protein around 31 weeks? Crazy swelling. Bp was ok and did 24 hour which came back fine.
At 33w5d I had protein and high bp.
They checked the babies the next am at the high risk and I went right to hosp to be delivered.

Just make sure they keep an eye on your bp.

They will just keep an eye on you. Which at this poitn with twins I am sure they are monitoring you closely anyway for anything out of the norm.

I had a trace of protein in my urine and my BP was slightly high from my 2nd tri on so they made me do the 24 hour urine jug
Those results were normal.
Dr said sometimes a trace is normal
As long as it doesn't go more than that
They just kept an eye on it

I did with DS#1 towards the end....on the next visit I was fine......If they said not to worry I wouldn't!

I've had protein in my urine since 12w and I'm almost 24w now. It could be a UTI or it could just be normal for you during pregnancy. For me, it's just normal.

I haven't had any swelling and my blood pressure has always been normal, or even a little low. They look for 3 signs as possible pre-eclampsia: protein in urine, high blood pressure and swelling. As long as you're being monitored, there's really nothing to worry about or do. Just keep drinking lots of water!

I had plus one at 19 weeks. The nurse just said I could be a little dehydrated and to really keep on top of drinking water. I go back on Wed so hopefully it's fine.

yup, i did at my last visit (39.2 weeks) - the dr wasn't concerned, it can be normal when you're retaining water. they will just keep an eye out next week.
